Adoptive design strategies, such as adaptive trials and basket trials, offer promising alternatives by enabling real-time adjustments based on accumulating data. These approaches optimize trial efficiency, enhance patient stratification, and facilitate rapid identification of effective treatments for targeted patient populations. This review explores the principles, benefits, challenges, and recent advancements in adoptive design strategies within the context of precision medicine, highlighting their potential to accelerate the translation of genomic insights into clinical practice.
