This paper critically examines the contribution of Dhenkanal to Odia literature. Dhenkanal is a district of Odisha. This is situated in the middle of Odisha. It has a strong cultural and literary tradition. This paper Discus about the literary tradition in Dhenkanal into four stages. These are Ancient Age (ancient times to the 15th century), Middle Age (16th–18th centuries), Renaissance (19th century) and Modern Age (20th century). It will also discuss the contribution of various magazines and libraries to the development Odia literature in Dhenkanal.
